Depew FFA Members attend Leadership Camp

The Depew FFA Chapter recently attended the 52nd Annual Oklahoma FFA Alumni Leadership Camp, held at Cedar Hills Baptist Youth Camp in Binger, Oklahoma.

More than 1,650 FFA members from over 300 Oklahoma FFA chapters are attending the one of six 2 ½ day sessions of Oklahoma FFA Leadership Camp. Attendees from the Depew FFA Chapter include: Keira Shagena, Addy Hunter, Atticus Hoover, Brier Howard, and Tyse Buck. Depew FFA member Tyse Buck was selected to sing the National Anthem for the Oklahoma FFA Leadership camps flag raising ceremony.

This year's camp, themed 'Impact: Leave Your Mark,' was designed to engage FFA members in a series of fun and action- packed activities aimed at developing strong teamwork skills that can be applied in their local schools and communities. Special presenters at the camp will include kickoff speaker Bill Cordes from Kansas, and keynote speaker Melvin Adams from Texas The Oklahoma FFA Alumni Association sponsors the leadership camp, generously supported by corporate sponsors including the Oklahoma Farm Bureau, NextEra Energy, Trusted Choice Insurance Agents, Public Service Company of Oklahoma, and P and K Equipment.

The FFA and FFA Alumni are an integral part of the agricultural education division within the Oklahoma CareerTech System.
