The pool itself will remain open that evening until 9:30 pm. The area will include porta potties for your convenience. An area at the VFW will be blocked off for handi-cap persons attending the event. Just be sure your placard is visible in your window. The fireworks show will begin at approximately 9:45 pm.
The back side of the lake will be closed to through traffic beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday morning. So if you are planning a fun game of golf that morning or throughout the day, plan to enter from the 12th Street entrance. The closure is for the safety of the crew as they set up the fireworks for the show that evening.
Each year the Bristow Police Department, along with the City of Bristow, works hard with donations received to make sure the citizens of Bristow are able to see a spectacular firework show and have a safe July 4.
Also on July 6th, the Bristow Round-up Club is holding a celebration from 6-10 p.m. The celebration will be held at 1001 Weatherwood Way. Lots of fun to be had, great food to eat and ice cold snow cones.
So no matter what your holiday plans are, maybe even cooking a burger in the back yard, just remember to be safe and enjoy the holiday.
