George Robert Livezey was born Feb. 25, 1930, to Joe Osceola, Missouri. He departed this life May 11, 2024, at the age of 94.
He joined the United States Army where he served in the Korean War. He was a mechanic for many years and owned his own shop as well.
He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, preaching the word and most importantly spending time with his grand and great grandchildren. He also had a unique gift in making beautiful homemade quilts.
He is survived by three children, Roy Livezey and wife Earlene, Teresa Ann Acker and husband Bryan, George Livezey Jr. and wife Teresa Lynn; one sister, Donnie Roberts; five grandchildren, Shannon Livezey, Kristen Godoy, Jessica Bush, Elizabeth Addington, and Kayla Rivera; eight great grandchildren, Zackary Proberts, Braydon Campbell, Lacey Campbell, Wyatt Heuer, Peyton Heuer, Cheyanne Heuer, Parker Addington, Charlee Addington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Virginia Livezey, second wife, June Livezey, granddaughter, Abreanna Proberts, brother, Arthur Joe Livezey, and one sister, Amy Fisher.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, May 17, 2024, at the Depew Church of God with interment to follow at the Oakdale Cemetery. Condolences can be seen at www. hutchinsmaplesfuneralhome.
