Reba SeDonna Breeding Harding

January 14, 1928 - September 5, 2023

Reba SeDonna Breeding Harding was born January 14, 1928, to Kelly and Agnes Breeding in Bristow. She was the youngest of five children. She had three sisters and one brother. The girls followed in their mom’s footsteps as the best cooks.

Reba had no eardrums, therefore people thought she was not very friendly. They were raised on an oil lease south of town. She only made it to the ninth grade because of her hearing.

Reba married Louis Robert Harding on January 14, 1946, on her 18th birthday.

From this union were born two children, Robert Louis, and Donna Marie.

She was a stay-at-home mother while Louis was in the National Guard and worked as a machinist. “Sonny” as people called him, worked very hard and after the kids were on their own, finally got to own his own business, NAPA parts store. She helped him in the office. This is where she heard about a doctor that could fix her hearing problem. He did, and that opened a whole new world for her. Apparently, she had always heard higher tones; now, she could hear it all, which explains why Donna always seemed to be the one that got in trouble growing up. Reba became very outgoing. In their later years they enjoyed traveling. She also enjoyed watching old westerns and watching and feeding the hummingbirds.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Spears and husband Sammy; grandchildren, Robbie Harding and wife, Laura, Tabitha Lockard, Trenton Spears and wife Melody, and Aaron Spears and wife Whitney; great grandchildren, Amanda, Maggie, and Gus as well as many sweet nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the First Christian Church in Bristow.

Graveside services were scheduled for 11 AM, Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023, at the Bristow City Cemetery. Condolences can be seen at www. hutchinsmaplesfuneralhome. com.
