Micah Joe McMullen was born Sept. 15, 1977, in Bristow. He was reunited with his mom in Heaven on May 9, 2021, at the age of 43 years, seven months and six days.
Micah grew up in Bristow and was a 1999 graduate of Bristow High School. He never met a stranger, greeting everyone with a handshake; sometimes two. During his school years, Micah worked at Pizza Hut and Super H Grocery (now Williams Grocery Store). He loved listening to music. His most favorite song was “Elvira” by the Oakridge Boys. As well he loved basketball; you could often find him shooting hoops. Micah loved being outdoors, especially mowing the lawn. He was quick to show off his lawn mower. A special bond was shared with Micah and his mom and caretaker, Sherry. Long car rides with her and church on Sundays always put a smile on his face.
Micah is survived by his sister, Michelle Oswalt; two nephews Caleb and Christian Oswalt, all of Bristow; his aunt Ella McMullen, of Ponca City; uncle Clifford McMullen and wife Laura, of Sapulpa; cousins T.C. Hankins and wife Jenn and their baby girl, Rollins, of Broken Arrow and Andon McMullen, of Sapulpa.
He is preceded in death by his mom and grandparents.
