The Faith Baptist Church, in Slick, held the 5th annual Sheldon Biggs Wagon Train was on Oct 3, 4, and 5, with 12 wagons and 8 to 9 outriders each day. Leaving from the church and driving about 20 miles each day and returning back to the Church late in the afternoon. There were a number local wagons, also wagons from other states came to participate in the event. Each night there was music at the bunkhouse. On Sunday the McNiel family from Texas came and sang at the morning Church service and hamburgers and hotdogs were served.
