Rose Helton, 73, left us on Oct 28, 2021, with her family by her side at Saint Francis Hospital. After many health battles, Rose went home to our Lord.
Rose was born Sept 24, 1948, in Akron, Ohio, to Hollis and Delores Kerley. Rose pursued her career in retail as a receiving clerk. Rose retired from Wal-Mart, but not the many friendships she built over the years.
Her personal interests included family, reading and attending church. Whatever Rose pursued, she formed strong bonds of friendship and truly loved her tribe. Her charm and smile brightened rooms as well as people’s lives.
Rose is preceded in death by her parents, Hollis and Delores Kerley; her brother, Claude Kerley; her sister, Cathy Honeycutt; her husband, Danny Helton; son, Russell Holt and one great grandaughter.
She is survived by her sister, Holly Gann of Bristow; five sons, Joe Holt, Kevin Holt, Bennie Helton, and spouse Rika Helton, Joe Helton and spouse Tera Helton, and Jerry Helton; two daughters, Renee Russell and spouse Shawn Russell, Kathy Carroll and spouse Gene Carroll; a bundle of 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She spent her latest years in the company of family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at Grace Refuge Church, Saturday, Nov 6, 2021, at 10 a.m.
