Saturday, Bristow held it's first Bristow Fall Festival and Officer Down Fundraiser. The event was held at the amphitheater, at Klingensmith Park. The event started the day with a ride for the Officer Down Fundraiser. A group of motorcycle enthusiasts gathered at 11 a.m. to ride from Bristow down Route 66 through Depew and Stroud, around through Cushing and Drumright then back to Bristow. Even though it was a cool, crisp day, the Four Kings LE/MC and the Americas Guardians motorcycle clubs gathered to show their support and ride along the designated route with Bristow's Mayor Rick Pinson.
The Four Kings Motorcycle Club is a small and growing law enforcement motorcycle club. Members of law enforcement agencies, EMS, fire and miliary are all a part of this group. Each member stands by the oath of the club and oath of the agency they work for. In Aug. 2019, the commissioners of Creek County gratefully accepted a donation of $4,500 from the Four Kings Motor cycle Club that fully paid to repair and replace the broken and missing fallen law enforcement memorial that was destroyed by the winds of the May 26 storm downtown. The Four Kings organized a motorbiker rally and they rallied members of the community to donate dollars towards the restoration of the memorial.
The Americas Guardians Motorcycle Club is a public safety and military veterans oriented motorcycle club. The Club is comprised of active or honorably retired commissioned Law Enforcement, Fire Service and Medical Professionals (in good standing with their respective federal, state, county, municipal or private agencies) as well as active duty, retired or former Military Veterans (to include National Guard and Reserves) who served honorably.
That afternoon a fall festival was held at the amphitheater with live music from C.J. Garton, Chris Matthews, Allan Pitts, Rolling Thunder Band and the Faithfultoo Band. Being the event was held at the amphitheater, there was plenty of room for social distancing making the afternoon enjoyable to everyone that attended.
