The second annual Stor-Mor Charity Cup golf tournament will take place on October 3, 2025 at the Bristow Country Club Golf Course, 1 Country Club Drive. The tournament is sponsored by Stor-Mor Portable Buildings and Lesco Builders. Lesco Builders is housed where the old rubber plat used to be and specializes in equipment rental, large and small, as well as portable buildings. Darren Warren, CEO of Stor-Mor Portable Building, says that this fundraiser is “near and dear to his heart”. Darren is a St. Jude’s survivor. At the age of 16, he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. He endured 120 chemotherapy treatments over the next 2.5 years. All proceeds from the tournament go to St.Jude's Children's Hospital. At the time of the 1962 opening of St. Jude’s, the survival rate for children with cancer was 20%. Today, with the help of the monies raised for research into childhood cancer, that rate is 94%.What a difference this could make in saving a young child's life. Every swing, brings us closer to a cure. The tournament will begin at 7:30 a.m. with shotgun at 8:30 a.m. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for the entries. So if golfing is your sport, join the other golfers on the greens of the country club golf course and enjoy your day of swinging or a great cause.
