A fatality collision occurred Sunday, Nov.3, 2024, on the Turner Turnpike eastbound near mile marker 208 approximately three miles west of Kellyville. A 2014 Jeep Cherokee, drivers name not released pending notification of next of kin, and a 2022 Freightliner driven by 53 year old, William Dickey, from Wichita Texas, were both traveling eastbound on the turnpike when the Jeep hydroplaned striking the Freightliner then departed the roadway, hitting a concrete barrier. Both vheicles then caught on fire.
The un-named driver of the Jeep was pronounced at the scene by Kellyville Fire Department. Dickey was not injured.
